Greetings,
On behalf of the members of Hope Tabernacle, I want to express our sincere thanks to you for taking time out to visit our church’s website. Our hope is that when you are through reading about us, we will have the honor of meeting you in person during one of our services. Whenever that happens, we are committed to helping fulfill your desire to serve God with a Christ-centered body of believers. My prayer is that God’s richest blessings will be manifested in your life at all times, because He always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 2:14
With ever-changing demographics, fads, jobs and work hours, many people have less time for traditional Sunday services. However, in the midst of all of these changes there is one absolute on every continent, in every country, and on every island of the world: the immutability of God. Malachi 3:6 declares, “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Moreover, Hebrews 13:8 emphasizes, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
It is in such a world, with such wonderful truths and hope, that the Lord has allowed us to plant a church in the Washington Metro area. Our vision is to emphasize four R’s: Restoration, Rebuilding, Renewal, and Revival, through hope in the Word, the Person and Power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to build on the foundation of the five principles of the New Testament Church: worship, evangelism, ministry, discipleship, and fellowship. Our main focus is to teach and preach the unadulterated word of God, and train strong believers in doctrines, truths, and purpose. We want to encourage all believers to be less reliant on clergy and to be totally and fully dependent on God in meeting their needs.
I welcome you and your family to Hope Tabernacle, where you will enjoy a worship experience and a word from God that will change your life. Consider this your personal invitation to enjoy the love and peace that the presence of God can bring to you. I hope to see you soon!
